DESCRIPTION:Delivered face-to-face in a classroom setting\, our Level 3 Certificate qualification in British Sign Language meets the learning needs of those who already have competence in BSL at Level 2 and are interested in developing their skills and knowledge. \nAt the end of the qualification\, learners will be able to: \n\nunderstand and use varied BSL in a range of work and social situations\, demonstrating competence at Level 3 of the UK Occupational Language Standards\, Instructus 2012.\npossess an advanced knowledge of the structure and function of BSL and an understanding of the Deaf Community and Deaf Culture.\n\nWe are a Signature approved centre\, meaning all qualifications are regulated by Ofqual and ensure the quality of learning demonstrated will meet the requirements of the UK Occupational Language Standards for each level. \nDate:  Monday 14 September 2026 – Monday 12 July 2027 \nTime:  6.00 – 9.00 pm \nVenue:  DSN\, 144 London Road\, Northwich CW9 5HH \nCost:  £700 – Full Cost. \nRegistration Fee:  £220 for those wanting to pay in instalments.  The registration fee will secure your place on the course and you will be contacted shortly after booking with further details of how to set up the instalments.

DESCRIPTION:The aim of this course is to further develop your linguistic skills in British Sign Language towards upper-intermediate level\, or B2 of the CEFR. Teaching begins by briefly re-visiting the vocabulary and grammatical structures covered in Level 3\, before moving swiftly onto developing skills\, understanding and knowledge in BSL grammar\, receptive skills\, productive skills and conversational skills. \nThe course is delivered in an informal and relaxed environment and your teacher will use a variety of teaching and learning methods to cater for all learning styles and to meet the needs of all learners. The course is designed to be fun\, engaging and meaningful and will give you the opportunity to practice your productive and receptive skills by means of group work\, pair work\, role-plays\, games\, presentations and discussions. \nP:re-requisites: Learners must have undertaken\, and ideally passed\, the Level 3 certificate before undertaking Level \nIf you are awaiting level 3 results or a resit date please contact our office to discuss your situation with the lead tutor as we are often able to accommodate learners on a level 3 course in the meantime. \n  \n  \n  \n  \n
